Frequently asked questions

Enough clarity to enjoy the unknown.

The destination can stay secret without leaving the important parts of your trip unclear. These answers explain the launch experience and point you to the pages with more detail.

What if no destination fits my dates, budget or must-haves?

Wanderveil does not force a destination to fit. A Travel Planner will explain what is conflicting and work with you on the smallest reasonable adjustment, if you want one.

How quickly will I receive a proposal?

Your request is reviewed by a Travel Planner before a proposal is released. Timing depends on the trip's complexity and current request volume. Your planner will follow up after reviewing the details.

What does Wanderveil cost?

Launch planning fees are Basic $199, Curated $349 and Extensive from $599. These are Wanderveil planning/service fees, not total trip prices. Flights, lodging, transportation, dining, activities and other supplier travel costs are separate and shown in the proposal before payment consent. See the Pricing page for details.

Do I approve anything before booking?

Yes. You review your trip, confirm your plan, give payment consent, confirm the travelers and then provide final booking authorization before supplier arrangements move forward.

Does paying mean Wanderveil can book the trip?

No. Provider-verified payment is required where applicable, but successful payment is not booking authorization. Traveler confirmation and the customer's final booking authorization remain separate required steps.

How do cancellations, changes and refunds work?

Your Wanderveil service terms and the applicable supplier rules govern the trip. Supplier cancellation and refund terms can vary by flight, hotel, activity or other reservation and are never silently replaced by a generic promise. Changes that require supplier action or money decisions stay with you and the live Wanderveil team.

How are must-haves and essential needs handled?

They are collected during planning, prioritized over ordinary preferences and confirmed again before final booking approval when they affect booking-critical decisions.

Can I travel solo, as a couple, with family or with a group?

Yes. The planning flow can account for different party types, including private preference submissions from adult travelers in a group.

Do you recommend travel insurance?

Travel protection can be valuable, especially when a trip includes nonrefundable supplier costs. Your Travel Planner can explain where protection may matter, but coverage terms come from the insurance provider.

Can Wanderveil plan around accessibility or special needs?

Yes. Share mobility, accessibility, dietary or other essential needs as early as possible. Those needs are treated as planning requirements rather than optional preferences.

Can travelers share preferences privately?

Yes. Adult travelers can privately submit interests, dislikes and needs. Essential needs still take priority, and private inputs do not need to reveal who requested an ordinary preference.

What happens after booking?

The clue phase begins, your dossier is prepared and Maria keeps you connected to trip context and milestones. During travel, your Travel Planner and live Wanderveil concierge support handle issues that require Wanderveil involvement or supplier action.

Can Maria make changes to my booking?

No. Maria can answer routine questions, provide trip context and connect you with the Wanderveil team, but she does not independently spend, refund, cancel, rebook or contact suppliers.

When do I learn the destination?

The destination remains sealed through planning and booking and is revealed through the Wanderveil reveal experience at the planned pre-trip milestone. Safety, accessibility and essential preparation information is shared earlier whenever needed.

How does Wanderveil protect payment information?

Approved card entry occurs through Stripe-hosted Checkout. Wanderveil relies on provider-verified payment state rather than treating a browser success message as proof of payment. See Trust & Safety for the payment and authority boundaries.
